All Canwood Furniture is manufactured in Solid Lodgepole Pine. No other pine will do. This superior slow-growth species was selected by the First Nations people for its strength, durability and portability, for their wigwams and winter lodges. Lodgepole, perhaps the hardest and most beautiful of the pine species, is characterized by a very fine grain, uniform color, dense fiber and small knots, suiting it ideally to fine furniture.
